Baseball’s Season Ends in Tallahassee NCAA Regional Final

Three Florida teams entered Tallahassee’s Dick Howser Stadium on Sunday, but only one could advance to the Super Regionals.
While the UCF Knights Baseball team made it further in an NCAA Regional than it has in over a decade, getting a 5-2 win over Stetson in the afternoon to get to the regional final, it was once again beaten by Florida State in the regional final, putting a wrap on the 2024 season.

How UCF Baseball Bounced Back in Big 12 Play

The UCF Knights Baseball team has rebounded from getting swept by Oklahoma in its first Big 12 Conference series over the last couple of weeks.
Thanks to taking two of three games in their home series against Oklahoma State two weeks ago and on the road against Kansas last weekend, the Knights have now brought their conference play record to 4-5, tied with five other schools for seventh in the conference standings.

Baseball Loses a Battle, but not War

While the UCF Knights Baseball team could not continue its undefeated streak, it did still win its series against South Florida over the weekend, 2-1.

All three games had a margin of victory of two runs or less, making pitching a key asset for both teams in their victories.

The UCF Knights Baseball team won its first series of 2024 with a sweep of SoCon favorite Samford.

The Knights outscored the Bulldogs 39-11 over the series with two games coming to an end early thanks to the mercy rule.

The weather just had to get one last interruption in.

UCF was already ahead 7-1 when the game was paused in the bottom of the fifth. By the time action resumed around two hours later, the Knights did not miss a beat, scoring five more runs to get themselves a double-digit lead

The UCF Knights Women’s Basketball team mounted a second-half comeback to earn its second Big 12 Conference victory Saturday afternoon, 71-66, over Iowa State.

The win comes four days after the Knights (11-9, 2-8 Big 12) suffered their worst loss of the season, a 41-point blowout to West Virginia.

The UCF Knights Women’s Basketball team picked up their first conference victory in the Big 12 era with a 92-87 overtime Space Game thriller against Houston Saturday afternoon.

Tim Harris Jr. Rejoins UCF as Co-OC and WR Coach

Tim Harris Jr. is returning to the UCF Knights football team as its new co-offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach.

Harris spent 2023 season as the running backs coach for the Miami Hurricanes. Before that, he worked in the same role and as a co-offensive coordinator at UCF in head coach Gus Malzahn’s first two years in the program in 2021 and 2022.
